This was a recent commission done for Montreal’s Relaxation Lounge, for decorating their outdoor portable modular structure.
Inspired by the story of the dialogue between Krishna (an avatar of the god Vishnu) and Arjuna, in the Hindu scripture, The Bhagavad Gita (Song of God). When Arjuna has a crisis of conscience, faltering in his dharmic duty to fight back against his evil cousins, Krishna reveals his true form — the Supreme Being — manifested as a vishvarupa (universal form), wherein all beings of the universe are contained within.
The artwork is also envisioned as a ‘space mandala’ with elements of sacred geometry. Seen here below is the illustration installed as fabric panels and installed as deco, during both day and night (images via Relaxation Lounge).
